20 M OFFSHORE RESCUE VESSEL
The 20 m offshore rescue vessel is designed to be self-righting. Three of the so called “Rausing class” has been built for the Swedish Rescue Society, SSRS. It is designed for operation in traffic-intensive areas with large passenger flows along the coasts. The offshore design is capable to operate under extreme weather conditions in open waters. The vessel is equipped with waterjets giving very good maneuverability and allowing for operation in shallow waters. On aft deck a so called Rescue Runner is stowed enables rescue operation in extremely shallow areas very close to shore.
