You will be part of our aftermarket team where the tasks vary from day to day. The work is carried out on board boats located at the shipyard or in the immediate area. As a ship technician, you will work with various types of service tasks, troubleshooting and maintenance within ship technical systems within hydraulics and power transmission. Among other things, you can work with engines, bearings, shaft seals, valves, pumps, cranes, gears and other equipment on board.
We are looking for someone who has worked with maintenance of machine systems and propulsion on ships. You probably have a background as an on-board machine operator, service technician or previously worked at a shipyard. As the work is mainly carried out under time pressure and often in tight spaces, personal qualities such as cooperation, stress tolerance and accuracy are absolutely crucial. You enjoy developing new solutions based on previous experiences and you enjoy working on several projects at the same time. As independent assignments in other locations may also occur, knowledge of English and also driving license B is a requirement.
As the nature of the work is flexible, the following skills are meritorious but not a requirement: welding of aluminum and stainless steel, bending and soldering of pipes, plumbing, motor electronics.
