Swede Ship Marine AB
A long tradition in shipbuilding

Swede Ship Marine has a long tradition in shipbuilding, and one of our shipyards – Djupviks Shipyard – has been building vessels since the 1890s. Deliveries to the Coast Guard and the Navy began in 1937, aluminium welding was introduced in 1950, and composite construction started in 1979.
Today, the group consists of two modern and specialized shipyards on Sweden’s west coast: Djupviks Shipyard and Swede Ship Composite. Our shipyards combine extensive experience with technical expertise and modern production methods.
We have our own engineering department that designs new vessels and adapts existing ones to meet the needs of our customers.
Swede Ship Marine is certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, is privately owned, and is led by CEO Patrik Davidsson.

															Environmental policy
Delivering high quality to our customers and at the same time taking our environment into account is very important to us.
We work actively to manage the company’s operations so that the burden on the environment is gradually reduced. Consideration for the environment must characterize the entire operation and be factored into every single decision.
The work environment for our employees must be both safe and stimulating and characterized by respect for both people and the environment.
We contribute with technical solutions for more environmentally efficient professional shipping.
Many of our customers are directly dependent on healthy seas for their operations.
Our commitment to the environment is an inventory of the trust of customers, the environment and employees.
We must reduce or, if possible, avoid any negative environmental impact in the business. It must be seen externally that we have active environmental work!
We must work with continuous improvements and strive for reduced resource use, energy consumption and the amount of waste.
We must also work to prevent accidents that can lead to the release of pollutants.
Our environmental work must be guided by business ethics and commitment, and we must comply with current environmental legislation and other requirements.
Our environmental work should make it easier to be a customer and guest with us.

															Work environment policy
A good physical and psychosocial work environment are the most important components for well-being and the ability to perform a good result.
By analyzing and preventing risks before the start of the project and during the entire implementation, we prevent anyone from being injured in the course of their work. Our work environment routines otherwise ensure a good work environment.
															- The business must be conducted in a good working environment that supports learning and development and prevents ill health and accidents.
 - Laws and requirements must be followed in our work environment work, while at the same time we must constantly improve the handling of our work environment issues and work environment performance.
 - We must develop in collaboration with our employees so that tasks are perceived as meaningful and stimulating. Offering a stimulating work environment with satisfied and engaged employees is an important success factor. The employee must be provided with time for recreation and free time for recovery.
